So, last night I heard about “the weird art at Denver airport” via various avenues of internet research into a completely different subject.
Obviously this piqued my interest, and I was blown away by what I found.
The huge art pieces, sculpture and paint, depict rather ghoulish and odd imagery that would never be expected at somewhere such as an airport.
A massive 26 foot tall Anubis (one of the Egyptian gods of death) sculpture towers over the South of the Jeppesen Terminal. A colossal demonic, blue stallion awaits your arrival, with his vein-popping physique and glowing red eyes.
Murals depict dead children in caskets, end of the world scenarios, gargoyles and there are plenty of Masonic symbols, including a Freemason-commissioned capstone, which is inscribed with a line that states “New World Airport Commission”.
